Literature Text

She grew up in broken homes
Where the walls were paper thin
She was left alone in empty rooms
And heard fights no one seemed to win.

She learned to fill the voids
With colours and heart songs
And never shed a tear
When everything was wrong.

She learned to take care of daddy
When he was drunk and couldn't walk
And how to make supper
When mommy "just forgot".

As she grew she realized
That her life wasn't fair
The pain of never feeling love
Became too much to bear.

She left the house at midnight
Without leaving a note
She was on the edge about to jump
Until someone grabbed her coat.

She barely had time to turn around
Before her mom hugged her tightly
With tears running down her face
As she cried, "I'm so sorry Heidi."

That night she discovered love
And that she didn't want to die
She knew that she was wanted
And she finally learned to cry.
Did this for english class in like 10 minutes. Figured I'd post it, since I've really been neglecting DA :(
